Christiane Vejlø is a futurist and media analyst and one of Europe’s leading voices on the relationship between people and technology.
Through leadership roles in the telecom and media, Vejlø has since 2001 focused on technological innovation and ethical issues surrounding AI technologies. She has served as an advisor to several governments and is a frequent speaker in Danish business circles and at conferences both nationally and internationally. Vejlø focuses particularly on the impact of artificial intelligence on people, jobs, and society. She also addresses these opportunities and challenges in the bestseller Arguments for Humans. With 1000+ hours on stage. 700+ podcasts 80.000+ followers and hundreds of media appearances Christiane Vejlø is known as an insightful, thoughtful, captivating and trusted communicator. Christiane Vejlø
Christiane Vejlø is active in various advisory boards, boards of directors, and committees. She is a board member of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, a member of the governments Data Ethics Council, and a board member of the Copenhagen Opera Festival.
Previously, she served as Chair of Finance Denmark’s Digital Fraud Task Force, was a member of the Danish Chamber of Commerce’s Future Council, Chair of the Government’s Data Ethics Expert Group, a member of the Government’s Disruption Council, a member of the Ministry of Culture’s Public Service Committee, and a board member of CBS Executive.
Christiane holds a Master’s degree (Cand. Mag) from Aarhus University, the University of Copenhagen, and the University of Montana, where she studied media studies, TV and film theory, as well as religious studies with a focus on philosophy and new religious groups.
